The ghetto space suit is crazy OP.
Take a look at the standard grey space suit:
-Move slowly while wearing it
-Can only fit smaller tanks in storage
-No helmet light
Whereas a firesuit with a blanket and some wires has:
-No noticeable slowdown
-Can fit large tanks
-Helmet light
While the helmet light is congruent with the construction materials, the firesuit can't hold large tanks either, and the space blanket slows you down to crippled diona in legcuffs speed.

I propose that this be changed. A Scientist should have access to just R&D, a Xenobiologist just to xenobiology, a Plasma Researcher just to Toxins, a Xenoarch to the outpost, that from which I gather just requries basic science access, which every job in the science department should have anyway.
Obviously this would straight away make R&D undoable. No one in their right mind would want to do R&D and deliver toys to people and not have access to anything else. That is why leaving R&D access to all science jobs is also acceptable, sort of how Medical Doctors have chem and genetics access. Although I do prefer the less-access option.
This would leave telescience. I strongly believe that the paramedic should have access to it. Telescience is used nefariously to steal shit from the traders, sec or break people out of jail, all of which I myself as a scientist am guilty of. That is, unless you have someone whos job is actually saving people's lives, then the use of telescience changes drastically. Now of course there are people who use telescience and set it up with a CMC and make a telebay, but its quite rare for it to be permanently manned.

I think these hardsuits should be removed and replaced with softsuits, and the access doors removed so these softsuits are a more general for anyone in an emergency rather than specifically for job, it also means assistants greytiding for the atmos suit cannot powergame as easily as soft suits don't have the tank storage option. Thought that must have meant I missed earlier ones, so I scrolled up to where I prayed and reviewed the entire chat log multiple times. That was definitely the only message I was sent. They're hard to miss.
When I first noticed during the round, I pasted my chatlog in a text file and ctrl+f'd for more messages. Nada. Saved my chatlog at the end of the round, but it doesn't even go back far enough to catch the message I did get, and it overwrote the first one.
Figured something was wrong, so I checked the logs after the round and saw I was sent four subtlepms.
