-upgrades lower the cooldown drastically, to around 2 or less seconds when maxed
-is a robeless spell
-they do fuckall to windows, computers/machines, APCs, airlocks, ect. Only good for breaking the metal off of walls and breaking floortiles due to the way their explosion works (fireball explodes, not object it hits so it's alway 1 tile off)
-you often get double fireballs exploded in your face due to their slow movespeed and high cooldown when spamming them, this is complete bullshit
Now here are ideas of how we can make fireball better
-upgrading could increase damage, cooldown remains unchanged
-upgrading could increase damage slightly, and reduce cooldown, but not as much as it currently does
-upgrading can make them go faster and reduce cooldown, maybe damage too
and for the hell of it, a new spell suggestion

Okay, so the hardsuit effectively has a slowdown of 1. That should slow you down, right?
Well, the way this was supposed to work is that you are slowed down if you aren't wearing a pair of shoes. The way this was accomplished was by making shoes have a slowdown of -1.
So as long as you are wearing shoes, your hardsuit has **zero slowdown**

Admin announce text with the admin verb Announce is the same size as regular text. It would be indistinguishable if not for the color and font. This makes it largely worthless unless you use a ton of line breaks to push it out to its own and it should be larger.

Now there's a few ways to do this
- Make some kind of internal list of typepaths of unobtainable items, I honestly think this is pretty shitty and extremely difficult to maintain
- Make a flag for an items/mobs that are unobtainable in game, and apply it to them in the code, then populate a list of all these on roundstart by looping through all typesof() and checking this flag. I think this is the most feasible and maintainable way of doing this
(I also think we should being making more flag vars we have clearly already reached the limit of what our current single var flag system can do)

When a mob is buckled to a roller bed and shot with a projectile, it hits the roller bed instead of the mob. I tested this against laser/admin and shotgun/pump/combat .
I suspect, because roller beds make a dense tile that you cannot walk over when a mob is buckled, it blocks the projectile entirely. This behavior is unique to roller beds. You can walk over a bed with someone in it.

I want to place an overpowered item on an away mission. If I put it in one place then people will just game it and rush right to that place. That way I can have it potentially be in multiple places which would alleviate (but not eliminate) the memorization factor.
It would also help pave the way towards more procedural away missions.

Since noone likes the menial task that is stuffing a list of items into the destructive analyzer, here is an idea that i thought up that, with the right execution, should reward active research as well as help out if noone bothers to do research with an automation feature.
Borrowing from TBS and RTS games, research is now done with a "progress bar".
Items, or "Technologies", have a categorical (Research Level) requirement that is just like the current one and a Research Point (RP) requirement. Research Points are produced by CPUs.
A new machine, called the Processor Rack (similar to server racks) will hold up to 8 CPUs. There are different qualities of CPUs, each producing a different amount of RP per second. R&D starts out with two basic CPUs. Additional CPUs can be either bought via cargo or produced by R&D themselves, with higher quality CPUs available at specific Research Levels.
Research is done by activating a technology's research, CPUs are either automatically or manually assigned, so multiple things can be researched at once or scientists can focus on getting one specific technology faster. Additionally, there's an Auto-Mode which automatically starts research on the next new tech whose requirements are met.
Once research of a technology is completed, it can be produced instantly. Specific Technology Level points are also rewarded depending on the nature of the item. These TechPoints increase the Research Level (eg. Power). The Destructive Analyzer will function similar, but instead of directly upgrading the Research Level, it instead rewards a small amount of techpoints that could potentially upgrade Research Levels, as well as reduce the necessary RP to research the analyzed item by 90%, has it not been researched yet.

Also, firing a hookshot at a windoor doesn't seem to cause the hookshot to hit the windoor if it hits the "inner" side, the one that faces the tile it's on. It does stop, but it just hangs in place until it reaches its max "length" and then retracts. It doesn't actually grab the windoor.

Previously when the sting was lexorin it was still a fast death, but at least you could fight back or call for help or do literally anything before it killed you.

Also, while you're in there, add a temporary variable if you could. Right now it's just perma or nothing, last I checked.

Why do you not want to raise the potency of this item? Because no matter how high the potency, both the nutriment and the spiritbreaker stay at 1 and 10 respectively while every other chemical raises in the amounts. The fix for this bug would to at minimum, allow more spiritbreaker for higher potency ambrosia C.

Wizard was never balanced, and outside of disintegrate being removed (which was a great move), it feels like all sorts of changes have been made over time to "balance" it at the cost of it being any fun to play.

I guess it seemed weird since it was turning a simple mob into something other than a simple mob, thereby removing its AI entirely. It makes me wonder if it'd work on objects animated by the staff of change.
Maybe instead of working as intended, or just not working, it could just randomly cycle them through other simple mobs? So it wouldn't be entirely useless, since it could render something incredibly dangerous into something relatively harmless, but it wouldn't be predictable, either.

First thing that comes to mind is to double the effectiveness of upgrades. So injectors can be made every 3 seconds. Second thing is to increase an injectors chance of working. That causes a ton of confusion for players.
But really, the core issue here is the RNG related to the job. RNG is ok if you have ways to get around it. If you're skillful at the job you can mitigate some or most of it. But with genetics, except for these rare few, players get dicked by RNG a lot.
Anyone have any ideas?

The purpose of this suggestion is that antag bees suck, you can't make them attack people(other than yourself), they despawn, and the hive is what spawns new bees. Let's say you release some pissed off bees in medbay and they create a swarm, you'll be good in about 90 seconds and they'll despawn, bees move slow as fuck anyways.
Also buff bee speed, pissed bees move slower than beepsky on patrol mode.

This is in order to give more weight to Green, Red, Blue code levels, level out escalation a bit, and hopefully do away with, 'omg he tased and searched me 4 no raisin and found my cult tome.', as well as empowering the stealth approach in some ways, as well as giving Security extra leeway once the round type has been exposed without-a-doubt.

I made an airlock using the RCD and purged the gas out of one of the adjacent room and both of the rooms were emptied. I had the same issue with airlocks made with metal sheets, wires and airlock electronics.

The hand/RCD made airlock let gas pass throught them.

Airlocks block gas from going out of the room.

Both room were emptied.

Make a room with an airlock that you made (with metal sheets or RCD), build some pipe with an unary vent in the room you want to empty and an injector leading to space, set the unary vent to purge, turn both on (using AAC) and enjoy the airlock blocking gas not working.

Basically, I built the shard chamber in the 2x2 area that isnt on fire, but it wouldnt be activated by the emitter with the small chamber. After carefully trying to expand the room while the shard was still inactive, the 3x3 room allowed the shard to finally be activated by the emitter. After hitting the shard with my mommi head, and admin at round end spawned sparks in the chamber you can see the rest. Only part of it caught fire.
Though the shard wouldnt activate with the smaller room, is it possible that the shard needs clearance to operate correctly, or is this a bug?
And why wont the fire spread to the rest of the chamber?

Okay, what about a pre assembled space station, but needs its "interior" done. So all the exterior walls firelocks and some windows, some interior walls, and maybe a holomap of wire and pipe positions.
Attached to that is a derelict mommi nest, with fully functioning atmospherics and partly assembled engineering, and a research and mechanics lab.
So for some map like mini that needs a special place for autisim, you got the mother of all autisim safe spaces. Maybe even include a do it your self radio system and jukebox.
You can learn how to do teg with out worrying about carbons. You can learn basics of engineering with out fucking over the round.

My main issue with no actual augmentations is the fact that genetics with a lot less effort and resources gets actual super powers, while science has little to offer in terms of bodily augmentations in a world where they should exist.
I suggest Goon like "modular borg" system to create augmentations. Obviously to balance stuff out they would be really high research/high material cost items.
So RD does a lot of research and Roboticist gets "Augmentations" tab. In there he gets different parts to assemble augmentations. For example how I imagine limbs would work:
> Modular Limb Chassis
> Modular Limb Hull
> Modular Limb thingy that gives it it's augmentation advantages
There would be multiple parts in each of these, like:
> Limb Chassis: Left hand, right hand, left leg, right leg
> Limb Hull: electricity resistant so you can't get shocked, emp protection laced so that said limb would get affected by EMP damage less, ROBUST hull that generally has more damage resistance
> Thing that gives powers: Modular tool-hand (A hand that would have UI button similar to borg UI over said hands icon, so you click that button and something like an inventory comes out, when you click one of the tools in the inventory the hand turns into that tool), ROBUST module (Just makes you really strong, not Hulk strong but it should do damage comparable to a toolbox or something), SANIC module (gotta go fast), Magnetic feet module (no need for magboots with these) etc.
Roboticist would do something like this:

> Roboticist prints out Modular electricity resistant Hull
> Roboticist prints out Modular tool-hand (A hand that would have UI button similar to borg UI over said hands icon, so you click that button and something like an inventory comes out, when you click one of the tools in the inventory the hand turns into that tool)
> He assembles these parts and he gets electricity resistant hand that has all of the tools inside of it, perfect augmentation for engies.
It would also be possible to revamp eyes and lungs in the same way. I can't think of anything for lungs but still it would allow for future features.

> Eye Module (Sechud, medhud etc.)
And of course there should be illegal research like Chainsaw hands and Lubespray feet(Legs that leave a trail of lube behind you once loaded with lube )
I just think that cybernetic augmentations would add a lot to "to do" list of scientists, give everyone some new toys to play around with and generally add to the feeling of FUTURE. I am actually surprised that this is not a more requested thing.
Most importantly the modular design of the limbs would allow to easily tweak each of the different parts and easily add new limb parts.

Transforming from Vox also keeps the toxins blinking alert if you had it.
This is not mobs getting wrong icons after transforming, this is mobs keeping past HUD. Also it's from humanoid to humanoid.

If there's any damage type that shouldn't heal it should be burn damage, which is a little lackluster currently
