I didn't think to check in-game to see if it affects the AI, but there's nothing in the code that makes me think it doesn't. The camera monitor shows the player all the turfs (that fit on the screen) the selected camera has a line of sight on, regardless of view_range.
I don't think it matters for the camera monitor, but I did set the view_range directly rather than through the setViewRange proc. If that is the source of the problem, though, feel free to accost me.

Because of this you can put any machinery out there in the middle of the asteroid and leech power all you want.
This includes energy weapon rechargers.
Energy weapon rechargers can recharge kinetic accelerators.
Put two and two together. I hope you get what I mean.

-Marauder Helmet cameras currently have no camera system to link up to. It's in the code under SYNDICATE, but no camera systems are able to access it.
Proposed Fix: A new camera console within the skipjack and the Syndicate shuttle with exclusive access to the SYNDICATE camera system.
-Health monitor console on skipjack and syndicate ship does not currently function using the new interface. I have yet to check and see if it lists Syndicate crew members via List setting.
I think that's it for now. Also, Vox crossbows need to be looked at. Locking them into place when drawing back the drawstring is currently impossible. The rod slips out of the bow and it resets.
