Vampire blood-sucking is broken

I was a vampire in medbay today, immediately tried sucking blood out of a humanized monkey and all I got was a "Not a drop of blood here" message instead. Every other attempt at sucking someone's blood failed and my action reset to simpling punching people in the face. Tried testing this on players once an admin reset my vampire status and the same thing happened, no blood message and then being unable to bite anyone's neck.
