Vampire cannot suck blood

About halfway into the shift, I became unable to suck blood as a vampire (yes, yes, open hand, target head, aggressive mode, no mask, etc etc) and instead I was only able to punch them instead. Admin-Helped, but was not resolved. I attempted to further suck blood from two people (a human and a plasmaman, the plasmaman which I could target to suck from before [though not actually do so because they have no blood]) I was punching instead. This is understandably quite a problem for a vampire antag and I hope it can be resolved It should also be noted that the human target was still alive at the time
