Taxi Patient Room Lightswitch Function

Lightswitches in medbay patient rooms on Taxi Station are just lightswitches for all of medbay

I thought each lightswitch would work independantly of each other and only affect the light in each individual patient room and do nothing to the rest of medbay

Each lightswitch is connected to the same thing and switches both patient rooms, the medbay lobby, and the paramedic area.

Just flick either switch in the patient rooms, they both always do the same thing.
