Despite their looks, gremlins have the potential to become the most destructive force that you will ever encounter on this space station. Unlike necromorphs, which just eat you, gremlins will set up the singularity engine and then release it.

  • Gremlins have 20 hp so they die very quickly from any sort of combat activities

  • Gremlins possess the ability to manipulate some machinery and computers. You'll most commonly see them screwing up APCs, air alarms and airlocks, but they can do much more - for example use the telescience console, auto/protolathes, manipulate power and atmospherics equipment...

Here's what happens when you leave some gremlins alone in the research department for about 15 minutes.

If you capture a gremlin there are many ways to put it to a good use

The vermin infestation event can spawn up to 2 gremlins in one of the following locations: kitchen, atmos, incinerator, chapel, library, botany, vault, tech storage
