Fixes #7585 (closed), points 1 and 2 at least. I seriously don't know why the acid fix works (it shouldn't work), but I tested it and it does. The good thing is that I can safely blame Comic for all of these issues. Also fixes centrifuge runtime, which technically makes this non-atomic but c'mon I'm not making a whole PR for that
