Chronology of what happened here:

  • Comic is working on his infamous material datums
  • I make Tier 1 laser scalpels not require plasma to be made
  • This change conflicts with Comic's materials datums branch
  • When fixing the conflict, Comic overwrites the change, thus making Tier 1 laser scalpels cost plasma once again
  • This conflict conflict goes unnoticed because 334 additions, 321 deletions not shown
  • I never noticed this in-game because it's been ages since I played science
